Why Ingathery exists

For years, my own Bible notes were scattered everywhere. A paper notebook in one place, a stray note-taking app in another, sermon notes I could never quite find again by the time a related passage came up months later. None of it was gathered anywhere. None of it connected to the Scripture it was about.

I'd have a thought while reading in the morning, jot something down on a Sunday, scribble a note in the margin of a study guide, and then lose track of most of it. The handwritten pages were often the best ones, and the ones I lost the fastest.

Now I use an eink tablet to take notes as writing by hand helps me to be more intentional and focused on the text. This is great, but the notes have the same problem of being stuck in a linear notebook.

Ingathery is what I wished existed: one place for all of it. Typed, handwritten, photographed, gathered together and anchored to the Bible itself, so what I've learned keeps being useful instead of getting buried in a drawer or an old app.

It's built to be used alongside your Bible, not instead of it. My hope is that it helps you learn more, understand what God is saying through His word a little more clearly, and ultimately, know Him better.
